Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu

As you fly into Kathmandu, you’ll have beautiful views over the valley, the Himalayas, and of the terraced fields below. After going through customs, a representative will be waiting to guide you through the initial culture shock of Kathmandu’s narrow, winding streets and get you settled into your hotel. Once you’ve settled in, head out and visit one of Kathmandu’s cultural highlights.

In the evening, the tourist hub of Thamel is a good place to grab your first meal, with a variety of restaurants to choose from offering both Western and local Nepali dishes. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu valley tour

After enjoying a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, our representative will be receiving you for a full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. The famous world heritage sites to explore in Kathmandu are as below:

  • Pashupatinath temple, dedicated to Hindu lord shiva Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple built in pagoda style has gilded roof and richly carved silver doors. Visitors (other than Hindus) are permitted to view the temple from the east bank of Rivers Bagmati, entrance in the temple being strictly forbidden to all non-Hindus.
  • Boudhanath Stupa, said to be one of the biggest stupas in the world built on a massive three level mandala style platform and is 36 meters (118 feet) in height. The eyes of the Buddha on each four cardinal directions are said to be watching mankind and righteous behavior.
  • Kathmandu Durbar Square, walking around hustles and bustles of Kathmandu, Durbar Square area is one of the busiest and famous place in the city with the historical landmarks such as temple of living goddess Kumari, Big Bell and Drum, statue of Kaal Bhairav and Hanuman God (God of Monkey) will certainly add heritage aroma in your trip.
  • Swoyambhunath Stupa, another famous landmark of Kathmandu situated at western part of Kathmandu, perched in the hill of Kathmandu this stupa is said to be one of the oldest stupas in the world and perhaps one the enigmatic of all holy shrines in Kathmandu.The area surrounding the stupa is filled with smaller chaityas, temples, painted images of deities and numerous other religious objects.

Later transfer back to the hotelovernight. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Fly to Pokhara & Trek to Tikhedhunga (1480m) [Approx. 3 hours trek]

Our representative will receive you for the morning flight to Pokhara. Upon arriving at Pokhara, you will be greeted by your trekking guide at Pokhara Airport and drive up to Nayapul (40 Kms about 2 hours’ drive) where our trek starts. Today we will trek up to Tikhedhunga. Your first trail will head uphill through fertile farms of rice, maize, and millet fields. Following the main trail of Birethanti, pass by a small waterfall and continue until you reach Sudami where you will stop and have lunch.

Get back on your feet after this midday break and climb steadily along the side of the valley until you reach Tikhedhunga Teahouse for your overnight stay. Overnight at a normal lodge.

Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani (2875m) [Approx. 4 to 5 hours trek]

After your early breakfast this morning, get ready for the steep climb up to Ulleri. The trek begins with stone step stairways climbing up the ridgeline which eventually leads through cultivated fields. After this the rest of the trail continues through a scenic area of blooming rhododendron blossoms and old oak forest.

We’ll stop for lunch at Nangethati. “Thati” literally means rest house in Nepali. During winter this place will be covered with snow. After lunch climb until we reach Ghorepani, a village surrounded by spectacular scenic views. Overnight at a normal lodge.

Day 05: Visit Poon Hill and Trek to Tadapani [Approx. 4 to 5 hours trek]

We will start off with an early morning wake-up call and begin our pre-dawn climb to Poon Hill (10,500 ft) in just about an hour. This is a spiritual place that provides majestic scenery, especially when the rising sun casts golden light on the nearby snow-covered peaks like Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail, and SingaChuli, to name a few Himalayas.

We’ll then return downhill to Ghorepani for a hearty breakfast before continuing a full day of trekking towards the small village of Tadapani. This trail works itself uphill and downhill through a range of landscapes and microclimates. Overnight at a normal lodge.

Day 06: Trek to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara [Approx. 3 hours trek & 2 hours drive]

After breakfast in Tadapani, the trail continues to descend steeply until we reach Syauli Bazar through amazing hillside landscapes, forests, and terraced rice fields. Our trek will end at Nayapul where we will drive back to the hotel in Pokhara. Even from this urban environment of Pokhara, we can enjoy magnificent views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, the peaks of Annapurna, and others.

Enjoy the afternoon and evening on your own. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.

Day 07: Fly back to Kathmandu

After a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, our representative will transfer you to Pokhara airport to fly back to Kathmandu. Receive and transfer to your respective hotel at Kathmandu by our representative.

Rest of the day will be at leisure in Kathmandu. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 08: Departure Transfer

Today you will be transferred to the International airport for your onward flight.
