The Maldives is an island nation famous for its magnificent water villas. It comprises a tropical oasis of white sand beaches in the Indian Ocean south of Sri Lanka and is suitable for an adventure, honeymoon, or leisure vacation. There are a set of 1,192 coral islands organized into natural atolls. However, only 200 of these islands are inhabited. Each resort typically takes up a whole atoll. Imagine having a room on a pier protruding out from the shore with a glass floor beneath which manta rays and reef sharks can be seen swimming, and then stepping out of your overwater bungalow into turquoise water. The Maldives’ azure waters are home to a rich marine life and corals of various colors and are renowned for their amazing diving opportunities. While the vibrant blue lagoons are ideal for snorkeling, the coral walls provide a kaleidoscope of sea life for more experienced divers, making it a water sports enthusiast’s paradise.
